Historically web sites have copied content from 1 a further and benefited in search engine rankings by engaging in this practice. However, Google implemented a new program which punishes web pages whose content is not one of a kind. The 2012 Google Penguin attempted to penalize web-sites that utilized manipulative tactics to enhance their rankings on the search engine. Even though Google Penguin has been presented as an algorithm aimed at fighting net spam, it actually focuses on spammy links by gauging the excellent of the sites the links are coming from. The 2013 Google Hummingbird update featured an algorithm change made to enhance Google's natural language processing and semantic understanding of web pages. Google attracted a loyal following among the growing number of Internet customers, who liked its simple design and style.
